Chinese dress plus Spanx?

I was just trying on my quipao with the Spanx I'm wearing under my white gown... and... it doesn't work! The control top part of the leg shows because the slits on the quipao go above my knee. Anyone else having this issue? I might ditch the Spanx and go with regular panty hose, but they were so expensive.

if you can't return them, use them for other special events. Or halloween?
I wont wear one with my Qi Pao but for my wedding dress, I will. I bought one in size medium, and I think I will give it to one of my bridesmaids, because I need a size large. :(

Can't return them b/c bought them more than a month ago. Figure I can always wear them with something else. Ending up finding some maidenform shaping undies that will work well with both the wedding gown and the Chinese dress. Yay!

what brands do ppl wear? I am having the same issue where my spanx didnt work and my flexees from maidenform didnt work. Both extend to midthigh area and is visible with a qipao.
