You probably have heard news about Annie Le's murder at Yale. She was found missing on Sep 8 and her wedding was supposed to be Sep 13. Supposedly she was strangled and it seems to be someone who knows her. I don't know her personally and I'm just reading the news. I can't help but feel sad for what happened and imagining that it could be me, also a Vietnamese bride, and also a student. I bet any of our families and especially our fiances would be devastated.

I thought I'd share these thoughts with the Chinese Wedding forum because I'm a part of this forum and she was also planning an Asian wedding. If this post gets deleted then I understand.

I just wanted to put it out there to be safe, ladies, and to watch out for psycho exes or jealous love interests who may be stalking your wedding planning. Limit wedding venue, time, and date details if you can. I don't mean hide them or make it hard for your guests but don't share all of it everywhere if you know someone who is interested in you and may be unstable. I doubt she could've done anything to prevent her death, as she was very secure in a locked up lab basement, but just be careful as much as you can.

I saw this in the news as well and am saddened as well. My FI actually told me about this and cautioned me to be very careful because she was on what is known to be a safe campus in a secure building (badge access). I just can't believe this happened just days before her wedding. I agree with you clearheavens, be safe out there ladies!
